Cetrulo LLP represented a supplier and installer of asbestos-containing fireproofing in a lawsuit filed by Prudential Insurance Co. of America. Prudential owned several high-profile buildings in downtown Boston and sued our client to recover the cost of removing the fireproofing from all properties. Prudential alleged over $200 million in property damage. Following a two-month jury trial, Cetrulo LLP received a precedent-setting defense verdict, concluding that property owners are not responsible for the cleanup of asbestos materials in buildings.
