Brendan focuses his practice on commercial litigation matters, including products liability, premises litigation, commercial disputes, construction, employment and insurance coverage litigation. Brendan’s clients range from family-run businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Brendan represents manufacturers, contractors and suppliers in complex construction and commercial disputes. Brendan also serves on National Coordinating Counsel teams managing mass tort litigation, including discovery strategy, preparation and defense of corporate witnesses, motion practice, trial preparation and settlement negotiations, in jurisdictions across the country.
In his employment practice, Brendan has represented individuals and management in a wide range of matters including non-compete agreements, the negotiation of employment contracts and severance agreements, workers compensation, and compliance.
Prior to joining Cetrulo LLP Brendan served as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting misdemeanor and felony offenses in Essex County, Massachusetts. In that role, he engaged in extensive motions practice and successfully prosecuted numerous bench and jury trials. Brendan also oversaw the Lynn Drug Court, where he worked collaboratively with judges, attorneys, and medical professionals to implement more effective and creative post-conviction sentences. In 2015, Brendan represented the office at the National Association of Drug Court Professionals in Washington, DC. Prior to his time in the DA’s office, Brendan worked as a judicial law clerk for the Massachusetts Trial Court. During law school, Brendan served as the Executive Editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law and as the Litigation Director of the Moot Court Board.
Brendan is a licensed real estate broker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has served as a guest lecturer in family law, criminal law, and white collar law courses at Boston College in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
